Why do my feet always sweat in my dress shoes?

no matter what i do a few hours after i have been working in my heals my feet sweat and slide in my shoes and it hurts. any ideas?

Why do my feet always sweat in my dress shoes?
There could be lots of reasons why--like the non-breathable material of the shoes, and/or that when you are dressed up you might also be in situations that are anxiety-producing (thus sweat-producing). Whatever the reason, I have found that SummerSoles shoe inserts are a godsend.

Summer Soles liners even come with an adhesive backing (great for keeping the inserts in place when wearing heels). And the International Hyperhidrosis Society (www.SweatHelp.org), hooks you up with a little discount. Just enter the code %26quot;SweatHelp%26quot; when placing your order.

Hope this helps!
Reply:well the main reason is because in any shoes that you dont wear socks and they dont have ventilation your feet will sweat. You could try baby powder in your shoes. I know it sounds kind of wierd, just put it in the bottom so no white shows and hopefully it will suck up all the moisture.
Reply:Are they leather or imitation? Leather will tend to allow your feet to breathe better than imitation materials. Are you wearing hose or going barelegged? Bare legged in sandal type shoes is ok, but in completely closed shoes, you really need the extra lining of wearing hose. Have you tried sprinkling talcum or baby powder in your shoes before putting them on? You can try applying antiperspirant to your feet. I would buy a special bottle/stick just for that and not use the same one you use for underarms. If you try that, do apply some powder after or the antiperspirant may make your feet feel sticky.
Reply:blood circulation ends at your feet and it does not circulate back to the heart causing your cute sweet stinky feet to swell. the sweat came from lack of space for teh feet to be aired with freshness causing the sweat to come out
Reply:heh- there%26#039;s a guy on here that would be SO turned on by this question....
Reply:there is no ventilation in your shoes....you need some air flow to keep them normal
Reply:if the shoes are not leather, your feet don%26#039;t %26quot;breathe%26quot; and they will sweat. Try using the baby powder before you put the shoes on, that should keep them dry for a while.
Reply:Are they made of a synthetic or other unbreathable material? Are you wearing any kind of dress sock? Is it made of a synthetic material? Try a full leather shoe with a nice cotton sock.
