How do you prevent foot odor from a long days work in dress shoes?

Use Baby powder ... it really works!

How do you prevent foot odor from a long days work in dress shoes?
Change your socks, however many times necessary. --- Or maybe change your laundry soap. .....
Reply:have more than one pair of shoes and make sure you rotate their usage. thereby giving each pair an entire day at least to air out.

and make sure your socks are 100% cotton for best sweat absorption.
Reply:foot powder and change your socks as often as you need to
Reply:dry your feet well before wearing shoes, use foot deodorant, don't reuse your socks but wear a clean one each time, etc. cheers!
Reply:This may sound weird, but deodorant/antiperspirants aren't just for under your arms. Spray your toes and the bottoms of your feet before putting on your socks. You don't even need foot deodorant.
Reply:Get yourself some inserts. They do make them for dress shoes. Also, get yourself some absorbant foot powder and keep a thin layer fresh in your shoes. Lastly, when you're showering or taking your bath, there are foot scrubs available, such as Bare Foot from Freeman, that will definitely help.

Good Luck!

Reply:Firstly, are your shoes good for you? You may need a kind that can breathe a little better.

Also, check your socks. You may need thicker socks that absorb sweat better.

Powders work somewhat well, but depending on your socks may not be able to actually reach your feet.

Insoles are also good so long as they don't cramp your space in the shoe. Most are pretty thin though.

You can also use sprays. I use this stuff called Approach. It's fantastic. I spray in the morning just to have it there when I go to work, then I slip my shoes off during my lunch hour, give a spray, the odor goes away, and after a few minutes I put my feet back in and head back to work. When I take my shoes off when I get home, I give them another spray and let them sit out. Keeps the odor from building up in them as well.

It's got no harsh chemcials so it won't harm the shoes at all, and it works really well. give it a shot.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
Reply:Wash those feet daily, clean socks... If the shoes were worn without above being done there may be an odor within the shoes...Put odor eaters in shoes and don't wear that particular pair of shoes for about week... Should clear up..
Reply:put baking soda in your shoes the night before work then shake the baking soda out of them in the morning before you put them on. also buy another pair of shoes and change off with them every other day that will help for sure.
Reply:I use odor eater insoles and I also use baby powder on the bottom of my feet before I put on socks / nylons. It also doesn't hurt to spinkle some in your shoes when your not wearing them.
